German influencer Theresia Fischer spent $225,000, or over R$800,000, on an operation that lengthened her legs by 14 cm, and after a painful surgery and recovery, she admits she regrets what she did.
According to Fischer, her height was never a problem for her, but her husband always liked taller women and encouraged her to undergo the procedure. The influencer was 1.70 meters tall and now measures 1.84 meters.

Fischer, who appeared on Germany’s Celebrity Big Brother, explains on her Instagram page that it took two surgeries; the first was performed in 2016 and lengthened her legs by 8.5 cm. In July 2022, she added another 5.5 cm. During the procedures, adjustable rods were inserted into her shins and gradually extended.
In total, the model’s legs now measure 116 cm in length. And of course, all of this didn’t come cheap: in addition to the surgery costs, which were 112,000 euros, she also needed medication and physiotherapy, which brought the total to 146,000 euros, over R$800,000.
Speaking to the German newspaper Bild, Fischer expressed regret over her choice: “I’m ashamed because I consented to an operation that should not have been done,” she said. She also described details of how her tibia was broken and calf muscles were split for the placement of the rods.
“You stretch the lower legs independently, holding the knee with one hand and twisting the foot inward with the other until you hear a click,” she said. “Ten clicks per day on each side bring an additional 0.5 millimeters.”
